How does Aryuyu work?

Protect yourself from AI impersonation scams. Aryuyu helps you verify that the people you speak to online are who they say they are.

  1. Add your contact to the ARYUYU app on your phone.
  2. A QR code is displayed. Your contact scans this QR with the authenticator app on their phone to add it to their two-factor authentication app. You can scan these QR codes over video call.
  3. Later, if you are suspicious that someone is impersonating your contact (online, via text, or in a voice or video call), you can ask them to provide the 6 digit code displayed in the authenticator app from their phone.
  4. Aryuyu will verify the code and alert you if it is not legitimate.

What are AI Impersonation Scams?

How can AI copy my voice and face?

Your social media accounts and public videos are a goldmine for AI impersonators. They can use your photos and videos to build a perfect digital replica that looks and sounds just like you.

That's not enough! They won't know the details of my life

More personal information about you is available online than you think. Where you've been, who you know, and what you've discussed can all be easily found and used to fool others.

Asking a relative to confirm some facts used to be enough - but now, the internet is full of historical data, including birthdays, maiden names, birthplaces, and even stories that could be re-told by an impersonator to gain trust.

What damage can someone impersonating me do?

Scammers are targeting your vulnerable friends and elderly relatives. By impersonating you using your voice, and talking about things you have posted on social media, scammers can be very convincing. They might pretend that you need money due to an accident, or make fake ransom demands. They only need to be convincing for a few minutes to get a panicked loved one to send them money.

It's not paranoia - it's happening right now.

There are countless examples of people being fooled by AI-powered impersonation scams, and it's getting worse.

AI impersonation scams don't stay at home

Businesses are at risk too. Employees are regularly falling for scams, transferring money or purchasing gift cards fraudulently under instruction from someone they think is their boss, but is actually a scammer.

My finance department fell for an impersonation scam and transferred money to fraudsters. Now I insist that they verify me using the Aryuyu app before accepting any instructions over the phone.
